An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Business Development Executive within the IT Industry.  The role is based in Midrand.


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a business development, sales and account management strategy for the organisation aligned to the business and Group strategy
  • Create and drive an execution plan that will ensure that the business achieves its targets
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve and exceed the business targets set
  • Negotiate contracts with clients ensuring viable commercial outcomes for the business
  • Expand the business sales offering into other international geographies
  • Manage the strategic key accounts for the business and develop and implement growth strategies for the key accounts
  • Ensure proper governance in all sales activities in the business and identify and manage risks in the sales portfolio
  • Identify business opportunities by nurturing strong relationships with prospective clients and current clients to build an in depth understanding of their business and introduce solutions that will support their current and future needs
  • Identify product improvements or new solutions for clients by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitor offerings


Job Requirements  

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant IT Degree or Diploma
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar role.

Demonstrated ability in the following key areas:

  • Sales revenue generation
  • Key Account Management
  • Leadership of sales and business development professionals
  • Ability to leverage CRM to manage sales pipeline(s)
  • Solution Crafting and Sales in the Business Process Outsourcing and Management (BPOM) environment
  • Knowledge and/or experience in diverse  Offerings across Customer Experience Outsourcing, Procurement Services, Learning Services, etc.
  • Have a consultative sales approach
  • Solid client engagement and presentation skills
  • Business and Financial acumen
  • Sound knowledge of Business Enabling Technologies
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and be able to work under pressure
  • Good management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to generate sales across key global geographies of North America, Europe, and/or Far East
  • Governance in a sales environment
