An opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced IT Business Development Consultant who has experience within an IT training environment.  This position is based in Midrand.

 

Job Description 

  •  Identifying and closing new business opportunities in the Corporate IT Training Market, which involve one or a combination of the following elements of the People Solutions offering:
  • Business Strategies and Metrics
  • People Strategies, Processes and Systems
  • Training and Development Strategies
  • Training Delivery
  • Building and managing an individual pipeline of new business opportunities in a manner that will lead to the consistent achievement of monthly sales targets
  • Reporting required management information regarding individual pipelines in an accurate and timely manner  Staying abreast of changes to the Peoples Solutions offering to the market as well as relevant developments in the industry 
  • Combining a solid understanding of the IT environment with the in-depth product knowledge and industry awareness to offer corporate customers an integrated IT Training Solutions
  •  
  • Main Responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Identifying a sufficient number of new business opportunities to build an individual pipeline that will lead to the achievement of monthly sales targets
  • Planning an approach to these customers that addresses their business requirements
  • Building a database of relevant information on these customers
  • Making contact with a sufficient number of these customers to build an individual pipeline that will lead to the achievement of monthly sales targets
  • Getting appointments with a sufficient number of these customers to build an individual pipeline that will lead to the achievement of monthly sales target
  • Qualifying the new business opportunities that result from these initial steps in the sales process
  • Pursuing these genuine business opportunities
  • Complete the sales process with the customers
  • Understanding the business drivers around the customer IT training requirements
  • Creating a differentiated value proposition that addresses these business drivers
  • Confirming the value proposition with the customers
  • Presenting the value proposition to the customers
  • Closing the deal with the customers
  • Turning these customers into existing customers with whom we do repeat business
  • Growing the revenue stream from these customers
  • Building broader relationships in these customers

 

Job Requirements  

  • Matric
  • Relevant qualification in IT / Sales
  • At least two years experience in a Business development/Sales role, accompanied by a proven track record of achievement against individual sales target
  • Business Development/Sales experience in the IT training Industry or broader IT industry will be preferable
  • A solid understanding of the business drivers that influence customer decisions in the Corporate IT Training Market
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Professional proposal writing skills
  • Excellent computing skills are essential
  • Must have own vehicle and willing to travel
